I've found Medora (2h melee) to be devastating and very hard to kill if correctly supported with defensive magic. I was going as a duo of Ranger/Assassin and while at the beginning the backstab nearly one-shot everything, after you leave the starting city the things begin to be very hard. in my experience, avoid the "assassin" archetype. Make sure to end every turn in stealth if possible. Playstyle for a rogue generally involves spending your first turn casting Fast Track and Walk in Shadows and your second turn moving behind a mage/archer enemy and chain stealth > backstabbing them into the ground. Unfortunately, there aren't really good talents for Scoundrel 5 so just pick up Bully at 7 and go with preference from there. Notes: The leveling process goes the same as the Ranger except you'll want to level Scoundrel instead of Marksman. Scoundrel: Fast Track or the Stunning attack, name slips my mind.Don't forget to use your amazing utility skills like Rapture and Mute though, I typically use those on my first turn before I get that amazing Glass Cannon boost on turn 2. With Guerilla, you do double damage from Stealth so you just alternate. With Quickdraw, it costs 3 AP to shoot your bow and 1 AP to stealth. At level 11, get the other Marksman 5 talent, Elemental Ranger. Save you talent selection from level 7 until level 10 and get the strongest Marksman 5 talent, Quickdraw. All of your initial skill points should go into Marksman in order to reach rank 5 by level 10. Your first two attribute points go into CON to reach 7/7 CON/SPD by level 5. At level 3, save your talent selection until level 5 when Glass Cannon becomes available. Notes: You start with 2 points in Sneak, you get 1 from the Cautious trait (from the Fab 5 convo is easiest) and an additional +2 Sneak from Helm/Boots from vendors around Cyseal.
